Product Features:
-
The Missions - The missions in the game
consist of various tasks of different nature. Escorting bombers into
the living room, strafing convoys in the kitchen or sinking subs in
the bathroom. Whatever mission control designate you to accomplish
you better look sharp. Before you know it you'll have a boogie on
your six, trying to down you with showers of led and shrapnel.
-
The House - The house consists of 14
different game areas, complete with everything from an attic to a
cellar, available as lockups through out the mission threads. Use
the various interactive objects to your advantage, outmanoeuvre your
foe in the sometimes crowded areas and locate the secret pick-ups to
upgrade your arsenal.
-
The Models - While playing the missions
you continuously locate new model kits scattered in the house. Up to
14 different aeroplanes are available all together, all famous
fighters from the era of the Second World War. Start out with slower
models like the Hurricane, the Fiat G50 or the Focke Wulf 190 and
end up flying speed monsters like the Spitfire, the P51 Mustang and
the unique Messerschmidt 262. The new aeroplane models advance in
flight characteristics, thus making the game more and more intense.
-
The Weapons - Your standard fighter is
only equipped with basic machineguns but your arsenal is quickly
updated with bombs, rockets and cannons, located around the house.
By using these basic weapons to break the environment and to destroy
other units you gain tech levels and upgrade your firepower. Later
you also find fierce weapons like the Tesla Coil, the Particle Beam,
Homing Missiles and Para Mines. Also present is the first, ever to
be advertised, indoors and demolition guaranteed Atomic Bomb,
completely fallout free.
-
The Controls - All the basic game
elements are concerned with a fundamental use of the simple flight
controls and using this to an advantage in the different
environments. Learn to navigate narrow areas by looping, rolling and
abusing the toy physics, yet also understand the necessity for high
speed and lightning strikes in open air combat.
-
Hit a wall at full speed and do a nice
one-eighty, facing a surprised foe with your guns. Shake a tailing
bird by cutting your engines, climb into a stall and by this getting
him in your sight. It's all controlled either by a simple keyboard
interface or your joystick.
-
The Multiplayer Mode - The fighter to
fighter scenarios are also substantial in the multiplayer games,
where you duel with up to eight other players over a LAN or the
Internet. Choose from all available fighters and engage in special
environments with different rules of engagement. Beware of neutral
forces shooting at both you and your foes, spontaneously turning a
death math into semi cooperative game with tactic elements of hide
and seek.
Crime Cities transports gamers to a
futuristic world where law and order has long since been replaced by a
wave of crime and terror.
But who is orchestrating it?
That is the question that the authorities desperately want to find the
answer to and they can only see one way to get it – infiltration of the
crime organizations known as the Synclides.
The Human Federation decides to frame one of its men, Garm Tiger, for
treason and disobeying orders and sentences him to spend the rest of his
days on one of the planet’s prison cities. This is Garm’s cover as he
begins the most crucial mission of his life.
Once within the confines of the prison, Garm, alias Johnny Red,
effectively becomes a gun for hire within this lawless society, exactly
what the Human Federation had planned. At the start of the game he is
equipped with a small yet highly manoeuvrable flying combat craft, plus
a small amount of credits in his bank account.
In Crime Cities missions are offered to Garm via his GloAdam Hartleyet
computer and can be accepted or turned down at the player’s discretion.
Objectives include such activities as elimination of targets, search and
rescue and bodyguard roles, with some of these having to be completed in
a specific time.
The missions will originate from a number of sources – the underworld
gangs, shady government organizations or simply a ruthless businessman
who wants to eliminate a competitor. Accepting or declining missions
will play a crucial part in the game’s development – should you risk the
hard-earned acceptance of one party by taking out its convoy for some
quick cash or play it safe?
All of the action takes place from the flying craft as you dogfight your
way through each city’s myriad of skyscrapers. Correctly identifying
targets as you fly through the dense traffic is critical, launch an
attack on a neutral pilot by mistake and the police will soon be on your
tail. And remember, they are unaware Garm is undercover and have orders
to shoot to kill.
Successful completion of a mission results in various rewards such as
money – with which you can upgrade your craft – special bonus weapons or
armour and an improved standing within the criminal fraternity. This
increased credibility will lead to better missions being offered and
hence quicker movement up the criminal hierarchy and the eventual goal
of uncovering the criminal mastermind.
Deathmatch fans are also well catered for, with Crime Cities allowing 16
players to go head to head across a LAN or via the Internet.

Following an attack by an alien race
Earth is in turmoil, left with barely enough resources to satisfy its
beleaguered population. A new home is needed. Utilizing alien technology
from a captured spacecraft, a mother ship is constructed and sent in
search of the aliens’ home planet with the aim of extermination and
subsequent colonization.
You are the commander of the human or alien forces, and must lead your
army in an interplanetary conflict between races. There are a number of
planetary systems ahead, each containing many planets to be either
colonized or defended. As neither side will cede every planet will soon
turn into an arena of the cruel conflict.
Unlike other games in the genre, once a map has been won it still plays
an active and important part in the game. The immediate action may move
onto another planet in the system but players will always need to keep a
watchful eye on their past successes. Committing resources to a
particular planet takes time and could potentially leave another base
exposed, giving the enemy a perfect opportunity to attack. This need to
co-ordinate both forces and resources on multiple fronts adds an extra
dimension to the real time strategy genre.
In another first, Mission: Humanity features circular maps allowing
bases to be attacked from any angle and puts an end to the establishment
of bases in one corner of the map making its defense easier. Players
will have to think extremely carefully about the placement of strategic
buildings and defense systems if they are to thwart attacks.
When an enemy base is infiltrated in Mission: Humanity the game will
switch to the isometric squad with the player taking control of a group
of soldiers and will track the enemy through the key building in the
base until they are all eliminated and the base is overthrown.
With its mix of classic and innovative game play mechanics, Mission:
Humanity is sure to appeal to both season strategists and newcomers
alike.
